  • Seeya Bazza! - Elsta (11/03/2003 1:43:38 AM)
Commentators these days sark, have never been at the top of whatever the sport is they’re screaming about and generally make silly assumptions about machine, rider and track that have no relevance to anything. I would rather hear the sweet mosquito buzzing of worked 2 stroke engines.

There has only ever been one exception to this rule and that exception is Bazza, good ol’ two-time 500cc world motorcycle champion Barry Sheen! The man was a fekkin god of motor sport.

Watching the GP will never be as entertaining again. The most respected, universally liked and most importantly enthusiastic lark is now missing from motor sport.

    Seeya Baz.
My Baby go BOOM BOOM! - Kitten (19/08/2002 9:57:40 PM)
aiiight, now since de last time i saw ya'll me GTi is now runnin a new exhaust, extractors and me new air filter.

2.5inch exhaust, full mandrel bent 4-1 Genie extractors, hi-flow catalytic converter and spiral-tuned resonators...

the pull i get out of such a system is the fairer side of 10KWs... Elsta being the motorbike man that he is will only laugh at such an enhancement - but to watch 40 year old men in their commonhores, sylvias, fords, lancers etc try and beat my car off the line is just funny! they love being roasted i think!!

but NOW after about a month of pain and frustration - the Kitten Mobile FINALLY has bass!! (porcupine can back me up on that one)... he LOVES IT

took us about a month to finally get everything finisshed off and right, but now that we have.. everyone is well happy with the result (except for porcupine)...

so yeah... next step is my interior!! we are going all white! with white bucket racing seats and the back seat re-done in white leather.... and also new floor mats that are going to be alluminium... tis going to be ducking PHAT.

till next time.. 3 words KEEP IT REAL.

    aiiight.

    Gay Wheels! - a_greatchic (27/07/2002 9:42:43 PM)
I own a skank of a car - yeh gay!

It is an old ford xd, only good thing bout it is that i am avoided by other drivers coz i look like a dwarf behind the wheel lol..

i am currently waiting for the floor to rot out and fall out while a passenger is sitting in it. You see i have a massive leak in the front at the windscreen, which is coming through into the front console of the car throught the wirse and on to da floor, YEAH! i might blow up some day if i dont get rid of it.

In the time i have had this lame vehicle, i have learnt how to break in, and start it without a key - why u ask? co the car is lame, and i had to remind myself of that fact - and make you feel very happy with the cars you have.

    Moral: Don't buy old fords!
My baby... part II - Kitten (7/06/2002 1:18:42 AM)
ok, MSN is down for maintenance AGAIN on a friday afternoon... so i thought that pop1 was a good place to assault...

had a bit of a drama this week - my drivers side electric window broke! i was MOST upset - thank fully, my dad knew a guy, who knew a guy..etc etc and she was fixed!!!
i have been extending my contacts in the car modification world and now i can get pretty much anything for your hot wheels at cost price, and installed REALLY well... which i am pretty damn happy about.
i have even bigger plans for her now.. which surprisingly don't include turbocharging - my boys have given me some other suggestions which have become VERY appealing to both my wallet and my insurance record!
the GTi's engine (the G13b) is made naturally, very strong )as in i haven't been able to break it yet).. which i'm pretty excited about - the most worthwhile mods i have been told are going to be extractors... air filter, cold air induction and group a cams - which will involve an aftermarket computer - but that isn't for a little while yet.
next week, i am hoping to have her dropped to the deck.. and have my extractors on order - then the fun stuff begins.
not being from the disco era - i have fallen in love with BLACKLIGHTING.. and found a friend (thats right) who has snared me a black light... attaching it to the ceiling is going to be a challenge, as i don't think double sided sticky tape will do the trick - any suggestions???

so that is all from my baby this week - i am also looking into some respray options.... what do you guys think? a complete colour change? or just an enhancement of the old colour?

till next time - be good.. or at it!!

    Kitten.

    My baby... - Kitten (27/04/2002 10:15:57 PM)
    She's a 1995 Suzuki Swift GTi and she's red.

When I first got her in February from a dealer in Moorooka she was dirty, covered in a whole bunch of gay stickers - generally not a great looking machine. But I knew that was going to change pretty quickly. I handed over the cheque and filled her up with petrol thanks to the shonky car dealer. Since then, there has not been a day go by where I haven't driven her somewhere ... when I could.

One of the first tragedies that happened with her was my dad. He was thinking that he was being really helpful; he decided to cut and polish her, clean her up a bit for me. When I got home and saw the massive swirl marks in the paint work, I thought he had cleaned it with nothing but sand and water! Agh! Fortunately a mate of mine who previously done up his blue GTi, helped me out. We spent a long weekend removing all of the stickers, this took 9 hours alone, as well as cutting the paintwork back completely and buffing the shit out of it. After that day she looked unreal! That kept me satisfied for at least 2 weeks, but then something not-good happened (surprised?)...

I had noticed that my clutch was acting up a bit. Thank god it was still under warranty. I bit the bullet and took her back to the dealer. I was without my baby for 3 WHOLE DAYS! I was distraught, I was also walking everywhere, but when she came back with a nice stiff clutch, I felt the whole episode worth while!

So by now she was free from stickers, she was clean, and she had a new clutch! What was next? I now had the thirst for modifications, but unfortunately my budget was relatively nothing. Well the rear wiper didn't work, so one afternoon I decided to take it out. I took out the boot panelling, disconnected the motor, removed the arm and stuck a plug in the hole so now it just sits flush. It looks SO much neater - a definite improvement!

Most recently, on ANZAC Day, with nothing better to do, I gave her a SERIOUS wash. Then I took to the paint work with this MAGIC stuff that I recommend to everyone called 'Glide On Glaze' ... it brought the paint up SO good. It looks as though the car had had a respray! Virtually no swirl marks from my Dads handiwork could be seen. She was so smooth she was nicknamed the "SlipperyMobile"! On the same day, armed with a can of red engine enamel - I resprayed my brake callipers bright red so they would stand out from behind my mags, they look unreal!

So that is the mods to date. The next step for her will be lowering my ride height down 2.5inches.

Stay tuned for my baby's specs and photos, they will be along soon.
    Why I LOVE being a girl... - Kitten (22/04/2002 8:37:47 AM)
For reasons like this, I thoroughly enjoy being a girl -
about 1am on Saturday night I had a mate of mine rock up at my house in daddy's new Celica... I was stoked, I got to go for a ride in a hot new car! But the best bit came when I was told I was driving... I took her to the city, wasted a few pathetic VLs, an entire taxi rank - and made some poor 30+ guy wail 'Shes driving my dream car!!!!'.......

The car handled like a dream, a little bit light at top end (200km/h), but as long as you're going in a straight line - you don't really have a problem! Unfortunately nobody cared to mention to me that it was in fact a 6 geared up little baby, so cruising along in 5th was a little loaded until i was told the great news and then it really pushed things up a notch (also managed to put it in 6th thinking it was reverse initially - good thing i didn't try to go anywhere... bad thing about being a girl #1 - you do stupid girly shit - ALOT)..

Take off is nice too - clutch isn't too light like most new cars, not heavy duty enough to hurt your thigh muscles when driving for long periods in traffic, and the shift is nice and tight too...

On the inside it looks a bit like an airplane cockpit - with dials everywhere... very busy dashboard, electronic temperature gauges and fuel tank... looks wicked all lit up bright orange at night.

Sound quality from all of the stock speakers is VERY balanced.. one of the best i have ever heard come out of a basically factory standard car... definitely more cruise-worthy than the tinny things i have lying on the floor of my boot at the moment!

And last of all - she is a head turner... not much on the previous model, very angular.. but its nice, and to sweeten the deal - it makes the boys cry...

Getting home at about 5am after driving everywhere short of SYDNEY - is another story...

    Ciao!!! ..... Kitten.
